We're halfway through May y'all. I can't believe we're already this far into 2016. Time seems to escape us these days with work and our constant adventures, but I'd be remiss if I didn't slow down for a few minutes to soak in the last two years of being married to my best friend.
Today I'm taking a walk down memory lane...spending some time to look back on our salt-life wedding on #30a in Seaside, FL. Our wedding video by Gilmore Pictures literally puts tears in my eyes every. single. time. I know, I'm biased - it is after all a snapshot of our wedding...but it warms my heart and fills me with absolute joy to see the start of daybreak in my favorite little beach town, and the happiness and love we were surrounded with by our closest friends and family on May 17, 2014. It was sincerely the best day of my life.
It's my prayer that everyone is able to experience the enormity of love that Chris has given to me, the sheer feeling that has made my heart so full. I wake up every day so grateful that he chose me. That he chose to love me eternally despite my shortcomings and my silly, outspoken spirit, to invest in a lifetime of thoughtfulness, brutal honesty, forgiveness, prayer, and rock-solid commitment. He has shown me what it is to truly love someone, to be united together at the core through our faith in Christ and in each other, to be unable to breathe with the thought of life without him by my side. He is the hardest working entrepreneur I know (shameless shoutout to our business Vacaybox); waking up every morning at 5 AM and not resting his head until way past my bedtime at midnight y'all. I love him more than all of adventures we've been blessed with, more than I ever dreamed was possible and I thank God daily, that he gave me this man to do life with. I cherish that we continue to build upon our love day-in and day-out. I love our story. It's messy and cultivated out of so many versions of ourselves. It's what got us here and it's what continues to weave our adventures into this crazy thing called life. Happy 2nd anniversary my love. This one's for you.
